Managing Organizational Units
Organizational units allow you to represent the structure of your company in caralegal and assign different elements such as processing activities, risks, resources, or users.
In this article, we will show you how to delete, move, or merge organizational units.
1. Deleting organizational units
In the organizational management section, select the organizational unit you want to delete.
Click on the trash icon.
A window will then open.
Select a replacement organizational unit that should replace the existing one.
Confirm the action.
All existing links (e.g., processing activities, risks, resources, or users) will automatically be transferred to the selected organizational unit.
Subordinate organizational units will not be deleted, but will also be moved to the new organizational unit.
2. Moving organizational units
In the organizational management section, select the organizational unit you want to move.
Click on the move icon.
Then select the organizational unit to which the selected organizational unit should be moved.
Confirm the action.
All subordinate organizational units as well as all related data and documents will automatically be moved as well.
3. Merging organizational units
In the organizational management section, select the organizational unit you want to merge with another organizational unit.
Click on the merge icon.
Then select the organizational unit with which the selected organizational unit should be merged.
Confirm the action.
All data, documents, and users will be transferred to the selected organizational unit. Subordinate organizational units will also be transferred accordingly.
